The funeral service for former Covington Motor Co. car salesman James Edward Hall of Paris will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Ridgeway Funeral Home.
Jimmy Allison will officiate. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Named as pallbearers are Andy and Eddie Daigle, Joseph McClure, Chris Wissel, Brian Hall and John Poe.
Mac McCurdy will be an honorary pallbearer.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. today and after 11 a.m. Thursday.
Hall, 82, died Sunday, July 14, 2013, at Saint Thomas Hospital in Nashville.
His wife of 59 years, Kazue Shigeyama Hall, survives. They were married on March 17, 1954.
Born March 17, 1931, in Paris, he was a son of the late Curtis and Irene Palmer Hall.
Hall retired from the U.S. Navy after serving 21 years. In addition to working at Covington Motor Co., he was a deputy sheriff under F.F. Wells. His wife said he was an avid fisherman and hunter and Atlanta Braves baseball fan.
He also leaves one daughter: Phyllis (Chris) Wissel of Knoxville; two sons: James “Rick” Hall of Paducah and Michael (Angie) Hall of Paris; one sister: Betty Dodson of Memphis; one brother: William Curtis Hall Jr. of Marion, Ark.; and four grandchildren: Andy (Shannon) Daigle and Amy (Joseph) McClure, both of Paris, Brian M. Hall of Knoxville and Kaley Hall of Paducah.
