Our beloved wife and mother, Jill Sue Plowman, age 78 of Paris, TN, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2024, at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
Jill was born August 18, 1945, in Owasso, MI, to the late Maitland Schaar and the late Helen Bronson Schaar.
She devoted her life to her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and anyone who came into her life, as she had an open-door policy and welcomed and loved all. She worked 25 years for Dr. Ernie Kuhlo and Dr. Michael McClain as an office manager and upon retirement gave 10 years of her time volunteering at Tomorrow’s Hope Pregnancy Medical Clinic as she loved helping families and especially children. She loved to read, dance, roller-skate, go out to eat, but most of all, loved visiting, talking, laughing, planning, cutting up, joking, and plotting with her family. She was present and available for all the people she loved, and she loved well. She was a former member of Saint Paul’s Catholic Church in Owasso, MI, and a dedicated member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Paris, TN, where she attended for 41 years. She loved her family and friends, but above all she loved her Jesus the most, and is now resting in his loving arms and is at peace.
She is survived by her husband and best friend of 62 years, Paul E Plowman; she is also survived by her fur babies, Zoe and Boots; five children, Randy (Steve) Trask of Paris, TN, Laurie (Mike) Smith of Owasso, MI, Timothy (Melody) Plowman of Paris, TN, Jennifer (Eric) McMackin of Huntingdon, TN, and Matthew Plowman & fiancé Pam Jarvis of West Palm Beach FL; 13 grandchildren, Ryan (Lisa) McCoy, Emily McCoy, Andrew Smith and fiancé Kayla Days, Jason (Malory Curtis) Smith, Brittney (Hunter) VanDyke, Adam (Glenda) Plowman, Alex Plowman, Jessica (Chris) Donald, Josh (Sara) McMackin, Morgan (Logan) Diebold, Grace McMackin, Katie Plowman, and Zachary Plowman; 15 great grandchildren, Lily, Harper Jovana, Hallie, Greyson, Noa Kate, Lawson, Emery, Gianna, Brythanie, Cohan, Olivia, Avrie, and two sweet baby twins that she could not wait to meet who will be making their arrival in October; and three bonus great grandchildren, Isaac, Isabel, & the late Isaiah Petty.
