Jessie Evelyn "Ebba" Morgan Scarbrough

Jessie Evelyn “Ebba” Morgan Scarbrough, age 94 of Buchanan, TN, died Wednesday, August 15, 2018, at her residence in Buchanan, TN.

Mrs. Jessie was born February 14, 1924, in Buchanan, TN, to the late Jesse Morgan and the late Vinnie Vaughn Morgan.

She was married September 18, 1943, to Joseph Hall Scarbrough, who preceded her in death on November 3, 1997.

She is survived by four daughters, Joanna Bevill of Buchanan, TN, Glenda (Gary) Cunningham of Murray, KY, Joyce (Dale) Morie of Buchanan, TN, and Rita Page of Buchanan, TN; one sister-in-law, Verble Adams of Buchanan, TN; eight grandchildren, Darren (Lisa) Bevill, David (Andrea) Bevill, Kara (Chris) Young, Kevin Cunningham, Brad (Marcy) Moon, Hallie (Mack) Davis, Curtis Page, and Daniel (Heather) Page; 14 great grandchildren, Lucas Bevill, Emeline Bevill, Ashley Burkeen, Alysha Bevill, Evan Bevill, Keisha Russell, Riley Cunningham, Levi Cunningham, Dreyvan Page, Audrey Page, Logan Page, Hayden Moon, Hannah Moon, and Dalton Young; three great-great grandchildren, Addison Burkeen, Janielle Burkeen, and Maddox Burkeen; and several nephews.

Along with her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one daughter, Deborah Faye Scarbrough; two sons-in-law, Jessie Bevill and Danny Page; one sister, Ava Nellie Alton; and one granddaughter, Daniele Travis.

She was a homemaker who was famous for her sugar cookies.  During WWII, she went to Michigan to make airplane parts for the military.  She was a member of New Liberty Church of Christ in Buchanan and was a member of the Quilting Club.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where visitation will be Friday, August 17, 2018, from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm, and continue Saturday, August 18, 2018, from 10:00 am – 11:00 am.  The funeral service will be Saturday, August 18, 2018, at 11:00 am at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with John W. Dale officiating.

Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Burial will be in New Liberty Cemetery in Buchanan, TN.
