Jessie C. Brown

Jessie C. Brown, age 98 of Paris, TN, died Saturday, March 17, 2018, at Paris Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Paris, TN.

She worked at Holley Carburetor Plant in Paris for many years.  She was a longtime member of East Wood Church of Christ.  She loved to sew and enjoyed going to auctions buying and collecting antiques.  She loved her family very much, especially her children and grandchildren.

Jessie was born April 14, 1919, in the Hico community of Henry County, to the late William Lunie Crawford and the late Mary Elkins Crawford.

She was married December 6, 1941, to Otis “Cooter” Brown, who preceded her in death on December 1, 2007.

She is survived by her two sons, James Otis “Jimmy” Brown of Paris, TN; Johnny (Jan) Brown of Paris, TN; one sister, Cindy Gallimore of Paris, TN; two grandchildren, Tony (Jennifer) Brown of Paris, TN, and Tim (Casey) Brown of Paris, TN; and four great grandchildren, Alyssa Brown of Paris, TN, Caitlin Brown of Paris, TN, Emily Brown of Paris, TN, and Tyler Brown of Paris, TN.

Along with her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one sister, Anita Atkins; and one brother, Denver Crawford.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where visitation will be Tuesday, March 20, 2018, from 9:00 am – 11:00 am, with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 am at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Roger Banks officiating.

Pallbearers will be Tony Brown, Tim Brown, Jimmy Patterson, Johnny Cross, Dale Gallimore, and Jerry Hayes.  Her great grandchildren, Alyssa, Caitlin, Emily, and Tyler Brown will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Burial will follow in Walker Cemetery in Paris, TN.
