Jerry L. Peterson

Jerry Lee Roy Peterson, age 81 of Paris, TN, died Wednesday, January 29, 2020, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris, TN.

He was a member of First Christian Church in Paris.  Jerry retired as a Data Processor of Northrop Aircraft in Hawthorne, CA.  He was owner/operator of Sally Lane's Candy Farm in Paris for 22 years.  He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, former Mason and Lions Club Member.  Jerry also served as a reserve for the Henry County Sherriff’s Department, and worked with the Food Bank at Grace Episcopal Church. He liked old cars, loved antiques and antique toys.

Jerry was born May 9, 1938, in Witchita, KS, to the late Fred L. Peterson and Dorothy Preuett Peterson.

Jerry was married on February 14, 1970 to Jean Alexander who survives of Paris, TN.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his three children, Scott Peterson of Port Orford, OR, Ed (Tracey) Peterson of Edmonds, WA, and Brenda Peterson of San Clemente, CA; four grandchildren, Jesse (Shannon) Wrobel, Makenna Wrobel, Laney Peterson and Katie Peterson; one Great Grandchild Kensley Wrobel.

In addition of his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister Martha Robertson.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, TN 38242.  The body is to be cremated.  Memorial visitation will be Friday, February 7, 2020, from 5:00 pm  - 6:00 pm at First Christian Church, 101 S Poplar St, Paris, TN 38242, with the memorial service beginning at 6:00 pm at First Christian Church, with Leon White and Bo Caldwell officiating.
