Jerry M. Lee

Jerry M. Lee age 74 of Paris, TN, died Sunday, February 18, 2024, at his residence.

Jerry M. Lee surrendered to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ in March of 1970. Over the next fifty plus years, he pastored many churches in Tennessee, Kentucky, and Michigan. He was a member of Hazel Baptist Church. He graduated from Calloway County High School before attended Southern Seminary. Jerry enjoyed watching sports, especially his beloved Kentucky Wildcats.

Jerry married Susan Sykes Lee June 23, 1972, and she survives, of Paris.

Jerry was born March 29, 1949, in Hazel, KY, to the late Sam Bruce Lee and the late Mary Nell Fields Lee.

In a addition to his wife of 51 years, he is also survived by his daughter, Tabitha (Russ) Wimberley of Mansfield, TN; two sisters, Patricia (Carl) Dalton of Murray, KY, and Glenda Gore of Henry, TN; a sister in law, Joyce Lee of Murray, KY; a brother in law, Mitchell (Joyce) Sykes of Puryear, TN; three grandchildren, Philip Lee Myrick, Colten (Meagen) Wimberley, and Jesse Wimberley; and 5 great grandchildren, Brady, Ada, Copper, Sawyer, and Wesley.

Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Linda Young, and a brother, Glenn Lee.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242.  Visitation will be Saturday, February 24, 2024, from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm at Hazel Baptist Church 301Gilbert St. E, Hazel, KY 42049. His funeral service will be held Saturday, February 24, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Hazel Baptist Church with Glynn Orr, John Sutton, Randy Kuykendall, Jerry Massey, Kenny Carr, and Jordan Roach officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Philip Lee Myrick, Brad Young, Erick Young, Brian Lee, Clint Lee, Matthew Sykes, Mason Sykes, Brian Sykes, and Colten Wimberley.

Burial will follow the service in Puryear City Cemetery in Puryear, TN.
