Jerry Lloyd Bickerstaff age 81 of Buchanan, TN, died Friday, June 28, 2019 at his residence.

He was a Vietnam veteran who served in the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy as an electrical technician. Jerry was a member of the Buchanan Masonic Lodge 772, where had formerly served as Past Master. He enjoyed fishing and playing cards.

Jerry was born July 16, 1937 in Pinson, TN, to the late William Howard Bickerstaff and the late Elizabeth Suenell Baker Bickerstaff.

He was married April 19, 1982 to Johnnie Ruth Davis Bickerstaff, who preceded him in death August 22, 2017.

Jerry is survived by one daughter, Tamara D. Milam of Granite City, IL; two sons, William Jeffery (Mary Ann) Gant of Buchanan, TN, and James F. (Paula) Gant of Buchanan, TN; two sisters, Dorthy Elaine (Dennis) Lester of Jackson, TN, and Karen (Larry) Stewart of Jackson, TN; one brother, James Mark “Jimmy” Bickerstaff of Birdsong, TN; nine grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.

Along with his wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by one son, Scotty Ray Gant; one sister, Mary Louise Littrell; and two brothers, Johnny Howard Bickerstaff and Robert Taylor “Bobby” Bickerstaff.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN.  The body is to be cremated. There will be a Graveside Masonic Service Saturday, July 6, 2019, at 10:00 am at New Beaverdam Cemetery in Buchanan, TN.
