Jennie Oakley Pace

Jennie “Sally” Paschall Oakley Pace, age 88 of Paris, TN, died Monday, May 14, 2018, at her residence.

She was a former nurse assistant to Dr. Rhea at the Rhea Clinic and retired from Holley Carburetor. Jennie enjoyed gardening and loved spending time at the senior citizens center. She was a member of Van Dyke Church of Christ.

Jennie was born October 20, 1929, in Cottage Grove, TN to the late Raymond J. Paschall and the late Alna McClain Paschall.

She first married Howard Oakley, Jr. in 1950 who preceded her in death on August 2, 1997. She then married Estel Pace December 31, 2001 who died on July 20, 2012.

Survivors include her daughter, Jerry McCann of Paris; a sister, Brenda (Bobby) Owen of the Hico Community; one brother, Joe Mac Paschall of Buchanan; three grandchildren, Chad Oakley of Jackson, TN, Nicki (Chris) Escue of Portland, TN, and Derek (Starry) Ivy of Benton, MO; and four great grandchildren, Kelly, Ryan, and Hunter Ivy and Annalise Escue.

In addition to her family, Jennie left these special friends: Lottie Smith, Evelyn Ashby, Shirley Redden, Cody and Lindsey Craig and their son Cohen, Randy and Pam Peale, and Mason and Morgan Peale.

Along with her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Ivy.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN, where the visitation will be held Saturday, May 19, 2018, from 11:00 am until the time of the service. The funeral service will be held Saturday, May 19, 2018, at 1:00 pm with Roger Banks officiating.

Pallbearers for the service are: Terry Wilkinson, Mason Peale, Chris Escue, Dave Perry, Steve Blake, and Jimmy Patterson.

Honorary Pallbearers are the Elders of VanDyke Church of Christ: Billy Russell, Vince Blake, and Gene Baker.

Burial will follow the service at Walker Cemetery in Paris, TN.
