Jennie E. White Allen, age 75 of Henry, TN, died Tuesday March 7, 2017 at her son’s home in Trezevant, TN.

Jennie was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.  She formerly worked at Gaines Manufacturing and Brown Shoe Company and retired from Nestaway, all in McKenzie, TN.  She enjoyed gardening and collecting Indian memorabilia.

She was born June 19, 1941 in Miston, TN to the late J.B. White and the Late Lillian Mae Languea.

Jennie married Virgil Dewell Allen on May 23, 1959 and he preceded her in death on May 23, 2001.

Jennie is survived by two sons, Jody (Laura) Allen of Trezevant, TN and Dannie (Cheryl) Allen of Henry, TN;  three sisters, Shirley Bailey of Paris, TN, Henrietta Cannon of Ramona, CA, and Barbara Ann White of Alabama; one brother, J.B. White, Jr. of Paris, TN;  four sisters-in-law, Cookie Allen of Paris, TN, Allene Allen of Henry, TN, Mary Ann Melton of Henry, TN and Judy Rodorigo of Cullman, AL;  seven grandchildren, Jonathan (Julie) Allen, Dekota (Toni) Allen, Bradley Allen, Brittany (Patrick) Griffith, Jacob Allen, Jodi Allen and Brandon Allen;  and four great grandchildren, Jonathan Allen, Mackenzie Allen, Frank Jackson, and Siris Allen.

Besides her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, Tim Allen on February 9, 2016.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN where the visitation will be Wednesday March 8, 2017 from 6 - 8 pm and Thursday March 9, 2017 from 12 - 1 pm with the funeral service at 1:00 pm Thursday March 9, 2017 at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home.  Bobby Campbell will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Dekota Allen, Jacob Allen, Jeffrey Allen, Jodi Allen, Brandon Allen, Tyler Allen, Toni Allen, and Colin Gaskins.  Jonathan Allen is named as an honorary pallbearer.

Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery in Henry, TN.
