Jeffrey "Jeff" Thompson

Jeffrey “Jeff” Thompson, age 58 of Paris, TN, died Tuesday, February 11, 2020, in Paris.

He was employed at Suburban Propane in Paris for over 20 years.  Jeff was a member of the Paris Moose Lodge and the VFW.  He loved fishing, bowling, and going to car and go-cart races.  He enjoyed working on cars, farming, and coon hunting.

Jeff was born July 18, 1961, to the late Curtis Dale Thompson and to the late Betty Jane Evans Thompson.

He was married September 15, 2012, to Roxanne McGarity Thompson, who survives, of Paris, TN.

Along with his wife, he is also survived by three sons, Chad (Holly) Thompson of Paris, TN, Neil (Katie) Thompson of Springville, TN, and Matt Cleaver of Lebanon, TN; one sister, Tammy (Jerry) Freeland of Paris; and four grandchildren, Bayleigh Thompson, Connor Thompson, Braden “Bam” Thompson, and Kaylen “Tootie” Thompson.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Joey Thompson.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN.  Visitation will be Friday, February 14, 2020, from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, and continue Saturday, February 15, 2020, from 9:00 am – 11:00 am.  The funeral service will be Saturday, February 15, 2020, at 11:00 am at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Chad Kennedy officiating.

Pallbearers will be Duhl Evans, David Evans, Darrell Evans, Will Burgess, Dennis Bush, Jackie Denton, Millard Nichols, and Mason Conger.  Named as honorary pallbearers are Dwain Evans, Joey Michuda, and Nathan Sullivan.

Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery in Paris, TN.
