Jeffery "Tex" Campbell, age 59 of Paris, TN, died Saturday, September 30, 2017, at his residence in Paris, TN.
Tex was a small engine mechanic for many years, working at the Henry Farmers Co-Op and also owning Tex’s Small Engine Repair at his home. He loved riding his 1976 Harley Davidson Shovelhead. He also enjoyed playing horseshoes with his nephews, playing pool, darts, and singing karaoke. Tex was Baptist in his belief and was also an avid Pittsburg Steelers fan.
He was born May 28, 1958 in Flint, MI to the late Roy Glenn Campbell, and Marilyn Mae Tackett Campbell of Kalamazoo, MI.
Tex was married to Mary McCollum Campbell on April 13, 2013 and she survives of Paris. He is also survived by one son, Jeffery Lynn (Nell) Campbell of Haines City, FL; three sisters, Sandy Campbell of Kalamazoo, MI, Reene Campbell of Kalamazoo, MI, and Maxine “Mackie” Campbell of Kalamazoo, MI; two brothers, Roy Campbell of Michigan, and Ed (Diane) Campbell of Grand Rapids, MI; four grandchildren, Kalyn Campbell, Indiaah Campbell, Taylor Campbell, and Lyric Campbell; and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Besides his father, Tex was also preceded in death by one sister, Gladys Douglas; and one brother, Danny Campbell.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN. He is to be cremated with memorial visitation Thursday, October 5, 2017 from 5 – 7 pm and Friday October 6, 2017 from 2 -3 pm with a memorial service at 3:00 pm Friday at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home with Bro. Craig Peevyhouse officiating.
The Weekend Warriors motorcycle riders are named as honorary pallbearers.
