Janie Gilliam

Janie Gilliam, age 85 of Buchanan, TN, died Sunday, March 19, 2023, at Murray Calloway County Hospital in Murray, KY.

She was a homemaker, and she enjoyed attending Mt. Sinai Baptist Church where she was a member.  She loved spending time with her family.

Janie was born December 26, 1937 in Dyersburg, TN, to the late Clifford Woodrow Rodgers and the late Helen Ruth Overall Rodgers.

She was married on March 16, 1957 to Clyde L. Gilliam who survives of Buchanan, TN.

Besides her husband, she is also survived by three sons, Marty (Rexlynn) Gilliam, John (Dandy) Gilliam, and Doug Gilliam; one daughter, Helen (Dale) Shinabarger; twelve grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one son, Clifford Gilliam; two sisters; one brother; and two grandchildren.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN.  The graveside service is scheduled for Thursday, March 23, 2023 at 11:00 am at Bethel Cemetery in Buchanan, TN.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery in Buchanan, TN.
