Janice M. Mann, age 91, of Paris, TN, died Thursday, March 30, 2017, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris, TN.
Janice was a member of First United Methodist Church. She formerly worked at M. Livingston Wholesale Grocery in Paris and was a former treasurer for the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a garden club member and enjoyed bowling in the Early Bird Bowling League.
Born September 21, 1925 in Paris, TN, she was the daughter of the late William Herbert Maxedon and the late Mae Maxwell Maxedon.
Janice was married to John T. Mann on September 24, 1950 and he preceded in death on March 31, 2014.
Janice is survived by one son, John Michael “Mike” (Jamie) Mann of Paris, TN; two grandchildren, Matthew Mann and special friend Robin Medlin, and Amy E. Mann & Fiance’ Michael Williams; two great grandchildren, Madison and Bailey Williams; several nieces and nephews; and a special family caregiver, Betty Noss.
Besides her husband and parents, Janice was also preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret MacDonald, and Joan Huff; and one brother, Earl Maxedon.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN. Visitation will be Saturday, April 1, 2017, from 4 - 6 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, and continue on Sunday, April 2, 2017, from 12 - 2 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Sunday, April 2, 2017, at 2:00 pm at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home with Dr. Rob Martin of First United Methodist Church officiating. Pallbearers will be Jim MacDonald, David MacDonald, Mike Davis, Eric Davis, Matthew Mann, and Jonathan D. Spicer. VFW and Ladies Auxiliary members are named as Honorary Pallbearers.
Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.
