Janice Stanton

Janice Stanton, age 67 of Buchanan, TN, died Friday, January 10, 2020 at her residence.

Janice loved traveling and antique looking with her beloved husband Jim.  She loved caring for her two grandchildren and working in her beautiful yard of flowers.  Janice was a dedicated employee of HCMC for 41 years where she began her employment at the age of 20.  Janice especially enjoyed supporting the organization Samaritans Purse and the Operation Christmas Child project.  She was a member of First Baptist Church.

She was born April 9, 1952 in Paris, TN to the late Wayne Thomas Scott and the late Addie Mae Jackson Scott.

Janice was married on June 26, 1971 to James Roy “Jim” Stanton who survives of Buchanan, TN.   Besides her husband, she is also survived by one daughter, Angie (Jeff) Tucker of Buchanan, TN; two sisters, Sandra (Larry) Tipton of Murfreesboro, TN, and Jenniffer (Chris) Townsend of Paris, TN; five brothers, Ronnie (Paula) Scott of Paris, TN, Jackie (Brenda) Scott of Hollow Rock, TN, Gerald (Jenna) Scott of Paris, TN, Randy (Jonie) Scott of Murfreesboro, TN, and Mike (Brenda) Scott of Paris, TN; two grandchildren, Sara Grace (Travis) Northington of Wahiawa, HI, and Wade Tucker of Buchanan, TN; two sisters-in-law, Clara (Roger) Wallace of Paris, TN, and Rosemary Roberts of Paris, TN; one brother-in-law, David (Rhonda) Stanton of Paris, TN; and several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN where visitation will be Sunday, January 12, 2020 from 10 am – 3 pm.  The funeral service will be Sunday, January 12, 2020 at 3:00 pm at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Lee officiating.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Tucker, Wade Tucker, Travis Northington, Ronnie Scott, Jackie Scott, Gerald Scott, Randy Scott, Mike Scott, Larry Tipton, Chris Townsend, and David Stanton.

Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery in Paris, TN.
