James Michael "Mike" Atchison

James Michael “Mike” Atchison, age 73 of Paris, TN, died Sunday, August 8, 2021, at his residence.

He retired as a quality control manager for Amory Garment in Amory, MS. Mike received his master's degree from the University of Tennessee at Martin. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, who was a member of First United Methodist Church in Paris. Mike enjoyed lifting weights, riding his bicycle, and bowling.

Mike was born September 27, 1947, in Paris, TN, to the late James Dallas Atchison and to the late Marcie Pierce Atchison.

He is survived by one son, Michael Atchison of Lexington, TN; one sister, Ann Shelton of Paris, TN; one granddaughter, Kylie Lynn Atchison; one nephew, Brad Shelton; one great niece, Janna (Brian) French; and one great-great nephew Brody French.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, P.O. Box 788, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, TN, 38242. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 11, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Joy Weathersbee officiating.

Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.

Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery in Paris, TN..
