James Michael Causey

James Michael Causey, age 46 of Maryville, TN, formerly of Paris, died Sunday, June 20, 2021, at St. Thomas Hospital West in Nashville, TN.

James worked for 25 years as a truck driver. He was a family man who loved his kids, traveling, and trucking. He served 17 years in the National Guard, serving two tours in Iraq as a Heavy Combat Engineer.

Born December 8, 1974, in Paris, he was the son of James Owen Causey of Puryear, TN, and to Patricia Ann Atkins Hicks of Dover, TN.

He married on December 21, 2004, to Alisa Marie Bratton Causey, who survives of Maryville.

Along with his wife and parents, he is survived by one daughter, Emily Marie Causey of Maryville, TN; three sons, James Wesley Causey of Maryville, TN, Brent Causey of Big Sandy, TN, and Brennan Causey of Big Sandy, TN, one sister, Belinda Garner of Murray, KY; one brother, Nick Hicks of Dover; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

James was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Robert Bratton, and mother-in-law, Janice Bratton.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242.  Visitation will be Thursday, June 24, 2021, from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home. The funeral service with military honors will be Thursday, June 24, 2021, at 6:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home.

The body is to be cremated following the service.
