James "Jj" Jackson

James “JJ” Jackson age 63, of Paris, TN, died Friday, December 28, 2018, at the Henry County Medical Center.

He was a Senior Master Technician at Joe Mahan Ford where he had worked for 35 years. He was a US Army Veteran who loved fishing, gardening, cooking and playing with his grandkids. He enjoyed watching Tennessee Titans football and napping. He would mention to everyone his family was everything to him.

JJ was born November 21, 1955, in Romulus, MI to the late William Bates Jackson and the late Anna Simon Jackson.

He was married April 20, 1996, to Dianne Burnette Jackson who survives, of Paris, TN.

Along with his wife, he is also survived by four children, Sam (Bryant) Milam of Buchanan, TN, Michelle (Ronnie) Farris of Clarksville, TN, Elise (JB) Davis of Shiloh, TN and Jimmy (Holly) Jackson of Mansfield, TN; three sisters, Mary (Bill) Light of Johannesburg, MI, Martha Frye of Johannesburg, MI, and Paula Rader of Avon, IN; three brothers, Billy (Susan) Jackson of Pennsylvania, Daniel Jackson of Paris, TN, and John (Rebecca) Jackson of Paris, TN; six grandchildren, Austin Farris, Jacie Farris, Gracie Milam, Bryson Milam, Wyatt Jackson and Tristan Davis; and one brother in law and long time friend, Ronnie “Boo Boo” (Christina) Burnette of Mansfield, TN.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Samuel Jackson.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where visitation will be Monday, December 31, 2018, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm.  Visitation will continue Tuesday, January 1, 2019, from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm. The funeral service will be Tuesday, January 1, 2019, at 2:00 pm in LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home with Brother Jack Thacker officiating.

Pallbearers for the service will be Jimmy Jackson, Ronnie “Boo Boo” Burnette, Danny Dawson, JB Davis, Ronnie Farris, and Bryant Milam.

Honorary pallbearers will be his Joe Mahan Ford family.

Burial will be in the Bethesda Cemetery in Paris, TN.
