James Willis “Jime” McBride, age 75, of Springville, Tenn., died Tuesday, June 7, 2016, at Paris Healthcare & Rehab Center in Paris, Tenn.
Born July 17, 1940, in Paris, he was the son of the late Willis Trenton “Shorty” McBride and the late Louise VanCleave McBride. Mr. McBride was first married to Virginia Barnes McBride and then secondly to Linda Kay Brown McBride, both who preceded in death.
He was a member of West Paris Baptist Church. Mr. McBride formerly worked as a supervisor at Holley Carburetor Plant until it closed. He then worked and retired from Mansard Island Marina. He founded the Lake area AA group at New Liberty Church and was a loyal member for 34 years to AA.
He is survived by his Daughter, Melissa (Terry) Hollingsworth of Paris, Tenn.; Two Sons, Michael McBride of Buchanan, Tenn. and Marty McBride of Hazel, KY; three grandchildren: Ashley Michelle Ramos, Justin Michael Ramos and Wyatt Frank Hollingsworth.
Besides his parents and wives, he was also preceded in death by two sisters: Patricia Louise McBride and Priscilla Dean Gupton, along with a brother Fredie Arnold McBride.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St. - P.O. Box 788, Paris, Tenn., where the family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM Saturday, June 11, 2016.His funeral service will be at LeDon Chapel Ridgeway Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Saturday, June 11, 2016, with Cliff Evans officiating. Interment will be at Walker Cemetery in Paris, Tenn.
Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers and Lake Area AA Members will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
