Retired Rockford, Ill., Burrall Machine Shop employee James
Edward Krug, 66, of Buchanan died Thursday, April 18, 2013, at
Henry County Medical Center.
His wife, Cindy Valenick Krug, survives. They were married
on July 2, 1988.
His body was cremated.
A memorial service, with military rites, is scheduled at 3 p.m.
Saturday at Ridgeway Funeral Home.
Visitation will be two hours before the service.
Krug was born in Rockford on Dec. 17, 1946, the son of the late
Robert “Bob” Krug and Betty Knott Krug Korff.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and according
to his wife, was an avid animal lover and loved his St.
Bernard Poley Bear.
He also leaves one stepdaughter: Mellisa Dudek of Chicago;
one stepson: Stephen (Julia) Hulbert of Paris; and five grandchildren:
Noah and Lucas Hulbert and Brandon, Zach and Zoe
Dudek.
He also was preceded in death by a son: Kendall Krug.
