James “Jim” Hamilton, age 74, of Buchanan, Tenn., died Thursday, May 19, 2016, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris, Tenn.
Jim was an active member of Sulphur Well Church of Christ. He was a retired mechanical engineer for Emerson Electric in Paris, TN and a member of the Springville Masonic Lodge. Jim enjoyed hunting and helping others in any way anytime he could.
He was born August 9, 1941 in Buchanan, TN to the late William Julius Hamilton and the late Mary Ethel Wimberley Hamilton.
Jim was married on January 13, 1962 to Pamela "Pam" Diggs Hamilton of Buchanan and she survives. He is also survived by his one Daughter, Tina (Walter) Proctor of Murray, Ky; two Sons, Bill (Kimmy) Hamilton of Leesburg, Fla, and Matt (Andrea) Hamilton of Atlanta, Ga; six Grandchildren, Nikki (Cody) Sanders, Alex Hamilton, J.D. Hamilton, Logan Proctor, Payton Proctor, and Nell-Lea Swords; and one Great Grandchild, Braelyn Sanders.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, Tenn., where the visitation will be from 4 – 7 pm Sunday, May 22, 2016. Visitation will continue on Monday, May 23, 2016 from 9:30 -11:00 am at Sulphur Well Church of Christ with the Funeral Service at Sulphur Well Church of Christ at 11:00 am Monday, May 23, 2016. Randy Stephens will officiate. Pallbearers will be Glenn Wimberley, Larry Wimberley, Dick Breedlove, Tommy Scarbrough, Buddy Forsythe, Ernie Diggs, and Thomas Lemonds.
Interment will be at Sulphur Well Church of Christ Cemetery in Springville, Tenn.
