James "Jim" Glass

James Wayne “Jim” Glass, age 76 of Puryear, died Friday, May 14, 2021, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital- Carroll County in Huntingdon.

Jim retired as a foreman in the steel industry. He loved to fish, cars, tractors, motorcycles, and enjoyed collecting various items.

Born September 27, 1944, in Paris, he was the son of the late William Thomas Glass the late Marie Byers Miller.

Survivors include his three sons, Jim Glass of Phoenix, AZ, Tim Glass of Steger, IL, and Billy Glass of Beecher, IL; a special friend, Mary Simkins of Hammond, IN; two sisters, Jackie Glass of Springville, and Joy Miller of Puryear; one brother, Bob Miller of Paducah, KY; mother to his children, Irene Glass of McHenry, IL; and two grandchildren, Sarah Glass, and Sammy Glass.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Jeannie Glass; and two brothers, Loy William Glass, and Thomas Glass.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, P.O. Box 788, Paris, TN 38242. His body is to be cremated with a private memorial service planned at a later date.
