James Allen Drexler age 71 of Paris died Friday, January 10, 2020, at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN.
Jim was a retired attorney. He formerly practiced law in Houston, TX for 35 years. Jim graduated from Grove High School, then Lambuth College in 1970, and then received his Juris Doctor degree from Memphis State Law School in 1973. He was inducted into the Henry County Sports Hall of Fame in 2011. Jim was an avid Houston Astros and Houston Rockets fan. He loved his dogs and was Methodist in belief.
Born May 5, 1948, in Paris, he was the son of the late Robert Earl Drexler and the late Arlene Lucille Shirk Drexler.
Jim was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Louise Drexler April 11, 2017. They were happily married for 32 years.
He is survived by a sister, Debra Ann Neal of Muscle Shoals, AL; two brothers, Richard Rex Drexler of Memphis and David Edward (Betty) Drexler of Munford; a niece, Abby Drexler; two nephews, David (Rebekah) Neal and Drew Drexler; a great niece, Libby Neal; a great nephew, Patrick Neal; a step son, Brian (Sarah) Buscemi of Rockford, IL; and a grandson Vincent Buscemi of Rockford, IL.
Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St., Paris, TN 38242, is handling the arrangements. The body is to be cremated with a private family service to be held at a later date.
