James Frederick Ellison

James Frederick Ellison, age 60, of Buchanan, Tenn., died Wednesday, February 3, 2016, at Baptist Health Paducah in Paducah, Ky.

James attended Mt. Zion Church of Christ.    He graduated from Murray State University in 1979 and was a Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps serving during the Vietnam War.    He was a Retired Federal Law Enforcement officer for the U.S. Government.    He loved God, his family and America.

He was born April 21, 1955 in Chicago, IL to the late Robert Leslie Ellison and Marie Lamb  Ellison who lives in Paris, TN.   He was married June 21, 1986 to Katharine Murphy Ellison and she survives.

Besides his Wife and Mother, he is also survived by his one Daughter,  Elizabeth "Liz" Ellison of Lexington, Ky;  two Sons,  Richard "Rick" Ellison of Murray, Ky, and Robert "Rob" Ellison of Texas;  two Sisters,  Luann (Bill) DeWees of Springville, Tenn, and Laura (Jimmy) Wynn of Cottage Grove, Tenn;  and one Sister-in-law, Carol Ellison of Buchanan, TN.

Besides his father, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Ellison, Jr.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, Tenn., where the visitation will be from 4 – 7 pm Wednesday, February 10, 2016 with the Funeral Service at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home at 7:00 pm Wednesday, February 10, 2016.   Tom Sisco will officiate.

Interment with Military Honors will be at 11:00 am Thursday February 11, 2016 at the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Nashville, Tenn.
