James Chesley Perry, Sr., age 83, of Paris, Tenn., died Friday, November 15, 2013, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris, Tenn. He was married 56 years to Lovie Alice Bain Perry who preceded in death July 26, 2006.
James retired from Midland Brake after 30 years as an inspector. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. James was a former Scoutmaster, and Little League Coach and an officer of the Bitty Basketball league. He served 2 Terms in the National Guard, and was a member of Paris Masonic Lodge #108 and a 50 year member of Eastern Star Chapter #155.. .
He was born in Henry, TN, the son of the late J.D. Perry and the late Audry Rigsby Perry.
He is survived by his two daughters, Patricia (Randy) Byars of Paris, Tenn., Judy Sircher (Jack King) of Nashville, Tenn., one son, James C. "Jimmy" (Rebecca) Perry, Jr. of Jackson, Tenn., Seven Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren, and 4 Great Great Grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, Tenn., where the visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday, November 16, 2013 and after 12:00 PM Sunday, November 17, 2013. The Funeral Service will be at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 17, 2013.
Rev. Jolinne Downey & Rev. Mike Wimberley will officiate.
Interment will be at Rose Lawn Memory Garden in Paris, Tenn.
