James Keil Morris, age 81, of Paris, TN, died Monday December 26, 2016, at the Henry County Medical Center.

Born in Medina, TN, February 22, 1935, he was the son of the late Marcus Friend of Liberty Morris and the late Medie Caldona Sanford Morris. He was a member of the Church of Christ and a retired Salesman. James was a United States Army Veteran who enjoyed spending time with all animals and children.

Survivors include four children: Jennifer (Michael Sr.) Moore of Cottontown, TN, Jan (Randy) Stricklin of Stone Mountain, GA, Marcus Morris of Jackson, TN and Bryan (Carla) Morris of Arlington, TN. Additionally he leaves 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and his former wife: Glenda Dedmon Curtis of Jackson, TN.

Besides his parents, James was preceded in death by 4 sisters: Dona Fincher, Earline Ward, Frances Dyer and Jewell Epperson; along with 6 brothers: Clarence Morris, Marvin Morris, Sanford Morris, Cleveland Morris, Charles Morris and Isaiah Morris.

Ridgeway Funeral Home is handling  the funeral arrangements. Visitation will be Thursday, December 29 from 4-7 pm and continue on Friday December 30 after 9 am until the funeral service. His funeral service will be held Friday, December 30, at 11 am in LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home with Michael Moore, Sr., Stan Penny and Mike Evans officiating.

Pallbearers for the service are: Marcus Morris, Bryan Morris, James T. Morris, Randy Stricklin, Larry Holmesly, Robert Lynn Epperson, Michael Moore Jr., Mackenzie Moore, Jack Hughes and Phillip Dedmon.

Cremation will follow the service with burial of ashes in the Lebanon Methodist Church Cemetery in Madison County, TN
