James Caldwell "Jimmy" Lipford

James Caldwell “Jimmy” Lipford, of Buchanan, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2024, in Murray, Ky.

He was born, March 22, 1961, to the late James Garvin (Junior) Lipford, Jr and the late Betty Jo Caldwell Lipford.

Jimmy was married April 15,1989 to Diane Pace Lipford of Buchanan.

Along with his wife, he is survived by his daughter Crystal (Tommy) Hutson and his daughter-in-law Christine Keatts; grandchildren, Bobbie Jo (Austin) Bales, Hannah Hutson, William Keatts, David Keatts, and Jack Hutson; and his great granddaughter, Shelby Kate Bales, all of Buchanan.

He is also survived by his sisters, Jane (Sonny) Poe of Springville, Joyce Bass of Paris, and Linda Anderson of Memphis, along with several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Bobby Keatts, and grandson Thomas Ryan Hutson. He was also preceded by his best friends Ken Cowell and Randy Whitehead.

Jimmy graduated from Henry County High School and worked as a maintenance man at Paris Fashions. He then received certification at the Vo-Tech school and had been employed by Elliott Tool Co since March of 2000. 

He was a member of Buchanan Baptist Church. He loved spending time with his family, watching TN Vols football, and eating at the Fish Tent with his sisters every year! He hated Hannah & Jack’s cows, but still helped with their herd every time they needed him!

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St./P.O. Box 788, Paris, TN 38242. Visitation will be held Sunday, December 29, 2024, from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm. His funeral service will be held Sunday, December 29, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Mike White officiating.

 Pallbearers will be Tommy Hutson, Jack Hutson, Donnie Bass, Jonathan Poe, Billy Elliott, and Cody Paschall.

Burial will follow at Buchanan Baptist Church Cemetery in Buchanan, TN.
