James Edward Clement, age 76 of Paris, TN, died Friday, June 23, 2017, at his residence in Paris, TN.
He retired after many years as a security guard at Paris Landing State Park. He also formerly worked at Celotex and was a member of Jesus Saves Baptist Church. He enjoyed camping and playing music.
James was born October 18, 1940, in Big Sandy, TN, to the late Louie Elvis Clement and the late Sarah Jane Nolen Clement.
He was married in 1972 to Doris Smith Clement, who preceded him in death on December 23, 2014.
He is survived by one daughter, Dawn Clement of Memphis, TN; one son Ronnie (Cheryl) Clement of Romeoville, IL; one sister, Jean Payne of Camden, TN; two brothers, Buford Clement of McKenzie, TN, and Nolan Clement of Camden, TN; seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Along with his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by a daughter, Dianna May Clement; three sisters; and two brothers.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where visitation will be Sunday, June 25, 2017, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm, and continue Monday, June 26, 2017 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am. The funeral service will be Monday, June 26, 2017, at 11:00 am at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Teddy Hill and Joey Collins officiating.
Pallbearers will be James Dean Clement, Elvis Clement, Terry Smith, Bradley Clement, Zach Clement, and Charlie Carlisle.
Burial will follow in Bevil Cemetery in Paris, TN.
