James Edward "Bo" Bohon Jr.

James Edward "Bo" Bohon Jr., age 78 of Paris, TN, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at his residence in Paris.

He was born February 18, 1946, in Roanoke, VA, to the late James Edward Bohon, Sr., and the late Mary Edith Saul Hurt. 

Bo married Rhonda Renee Avery Bohon in Biloxi, MS, on May 28, 1982. 

He was a devoted husband of 43 years, a cherished papa to his grandchildren, and an award-winning songwriter with numerous friends in the music industry. He had a passion for traveling and delighted in playing the harmonica for his friends. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing. In 2005, he retired after working 25 years as a bail bondsman in the Nashville area.

In addition to his wife, Bo is survived by three children, Kimberly (Brad) Smithson of White House, TN, Jamie (Jason) Potts of Springfield, TN, and Shane (Jessica) Bohon of White House, TN; one sister, Elaine Sitton of Roswell, GA, two sister in laws, Peggy Harder and Edrice Avery, one brother in law, George (Brianna) Avery of Clarksburg, TN; seven grandchildren, Kaitlyn Toland, Sydnee Toland, Jayden Lane, Ryan Edrington, Nathan Bohon, Alivia Potts, and Jackson Potts.

Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by three brothers in law, Ceph Sitton, Timmy Harder, and Joey Avery. 

Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN, 38242, will be handling the arrangements. The remains are to be cremated with a memorial service to be announced at a later date.
