J Alfred Steele, age 74 of Springville, TN, died Monday July 5, 2021, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris.
He retired from the John Deere Corporation as a territory sales manager. He also formerly worked for Proctor & Gamble, Homelite, Textron, and Briggs & Stratton. J Alfred was a 1964 graduate of Dixie Heights High School in Fort Mitchell, KY. He went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Kentucky in 1968, where he was a member of the Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity. He enjoyed fishing, farming, raising his Simmental cattle, and playing the guitar. He was a former resident of Elkhart, IN, where he owned & operated the Western Sizzlin Steakhouse. He was a former member of Temple Baptist Church and currently a member of Russwood Baptist Church.
J Alfred was born July 27, 1946, in Fort Wright, KY, to the late James O. Steele and the late Pearl Louise Bowling Steele.
He was married September 21, 1968, to Lillian Lucille Sanders Steele, who survives, of Springville, TN.
Along with his wife, he is also survived by his daughter, Suzanne Carole Steele of Richmond, VA; his son, Robert Alfred Steele and spouse Angie Sinnott of Cherry Point, NC; one brother, Boyden Steele of Mission Viejo, CA; and two grandchildren, Adam David James Steele and Christopher Allen Steele.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Billie O. Steele and Jimmie Steele.

There will be a visitation Saturday, July 10, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. until his service. His funeral service will be held Saturday, July 10, 2021, at 1:00 p.m., at the Chapel at Highland Cemetery, 2167 Dixie Highway in Fort Mitchell, KY.
Burial will follow the service in Highland Cemetery in Fort Mitchell, KY.
