Jack Gordon Brown

Jack Gordon Brown, age 93 of Paris, TN, passed August 24, 2023, at Autumn Leaves Assisted Living Home in Spring, TX. 

Jack enjoyed woodworking, fishing, golfing, and sitting on his front porch visiting with neighbors. He was the son of the late Samalone and Carl Ramsey. Jack graduated from Vanderbilt University with degrees in engineering and math. He also attended Charleston University where he received a master’s in business finance. Jack was recruited from Vanderbilt University to work for Columbia Gas Transmission Company, in Charleston, WV. He retired after working 32 years, and then went to work for Kroger Company in St. Albans, WV where he worked another 17 years. Jack loved his church and was an active member of St. Andrews Methodist Church in St. Albans, WV. He served on many church committees and was an active member of Methodist Men. 

He is survived by his daughter, Cindy Brown Endicott (Bill Endicott); two grandsons, Jeff Endicott (Ashleigh) and daughters Annabell and Adleigh, and David Endicott (Ashley) and Lucas, Gavin, and Savannah; niece, Becky Everet (Bob); and nephew, Ed Brown. 

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, of 72 years, Ann Brown; one grandson, Kevin; and one brother, Dr. Sam Brown. 

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris Tennessee 38242. Memorial visitation will be Saturday, July 27, 2024, from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at Ridgeway Funeral Home. A graveside memorial service will be held Saturday, July 27, 2024, at 11:30 am at Johnson Chapel Cemetery in Paris, TN.
