A graveside service for Ivaleen Smith of Paris was scheduled at 1 p.m. today in Henry County Tabernacle Cemetery, south of Paris.
Dwight Turner officiated.
Grandsons were chosen as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers were Carl and Mary Wright and Fred and Betty Ruth Wheatley.
Visitation was from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. today at Ridgeway Funeral Home.
Smith, 92, of Paris died Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at Paris Health Care Center.
Born Oct. 1, 1920, in Springville, she was a daughter of the late Riley F. and Ellen Elizabeth “Betty” Burnett Sanders.
She was married on March 26, 1938, to Carmen E. Smith, who died March 5, 1991.
She was a member of Apostolic Chapel Church in Paris.
She leaves six daughters; Carleen Hickman and Betty (Mike) Atchison, both of Paris, Sandra (Gary) Hastings of Mansfield, Theresa Woodside and Marty (Duane) Kilgore, both of Buchanan, and Wanda Small of Indianapolis; one son: Tony (Penny) Smith of Paris; one sister: Margaret Laster of McKenzie; 21
grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and nine great-greatgrandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by a son: Alton Smith; six sisters: Eddie Smith, Lillian French, Lera Wright, Iona Sanders, Retha Sanders and Ruby Sanders; and five brothers: Raymond, Woodrow, Dan, Fred and William Sanders.
