Imogene M. Holmes

Imogene M. Holmes, age 88, died Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at McKenzie Healthcare.

She was born July 17, 1925, in Calico Rock, Ark., to the late John and Angie Lackey Moody.

She was married on April 7, 1949, to James K. Holmes, who died Dec. 31, 2007.

Imogene was a member of Henry United Methodist Church and she was a former teacher at Central High School in West Helena, Ark.

She leaves one son: Ken Holmes Jr. of Petersburg, Ky.; two grandchildren: James K. (Angela) Holmes III of Indianapolis and Michelle (Tim) Smith of Simpsonville, S.C.; and a great-grandchild: Jackson Blackburn.

She also was preceded in death by a sister: Geneith Melton; and three brothers: Marlon A. and Lackey Moody and John Moody Jr.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Saturday and from noon until the service Sunday.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home.

Alan Trull will officiate.  Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Burial will follow in Henry City Cemetery.
