Hugh Stanley Tyler, age 75 of Cottage Grove, TN, died Saturday, November 27, 2021, at Murray Calloway County Hospital.
He retired after working many years as a technician for TDOT. Hugh was a member of the Cottage Grove Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting and was a collector of many things.
Hugh was born November 7, 1946, in Puryear, TN, to the late John William Tyler and to the late Saucie Clover Hendrix Tyler.
He married Jona Carolyn William Tyler, who survives of Paris.
Along with his wife, he is survived by one son, Matthew (Jennifer) Tyler of Cottage Grove, TN; one sister, Marian (Johnny) Farmer of Springville, TN; one brother, David (Donna) Tyler of Buchanan, TN; and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242. Visitation will be Monday, November 29, 2021, from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, and continue Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at Cottage Grove Baptist Church from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. The funeral service will be Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at 1:00 pm at Cottage Grove Baptist Church, with Mike Waddey officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Kevin Bomar, Rusty Farmer, Andy Tyler, Mark Chandler, Richard Ball, and Kacy Watkins. Honorary pallbearers will be Don Drummond, Larry Clark, J.W. Akers, Troy Bruce, and the Deacons of Cottage Grove Baptist Church.
Burial will follow in Puryear City Cemetery, in Puryear TN.
