Howard Mcclure

Howard Edward “Cootie” McClure, age 78 of Paris, TN, died Wednesday, February 14, 2018, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris, TN.

He worked in construction all his life.  He was the former partner of McClure & Stone Concrete Construction, where he poured and finished concrete in Paris and the surrounding area. loved his family dearly and was Church of Christ in belief.

Howard was born May 12, 1939, in Como, TN, to the late Thomas Linzy McClure and the late Bertha Parker McClure.

He was married February 10, 1964, to Winnie Sue Carpenter McClure, who preceded him in death on December 2, 2012.

He is survived by four children, Fredda (David) Perkins of Paris, TN, Carolyn Burleson of Florence, AL, Melinda Hamm of Florence, AL, and Ricky Rasberry of Paris, TN; one sister, Jetti Hendrix of Paris, TN; two brothers, James McClure of Como, TN, and Robert (Pat) McClure of Paris, TN; special friend, Virginia Knott of Paris, TN; grandchildren, Noel Perkins and fiancé Justin Head of Mississippi, and Jamie Perkins of Paris, TN; 11 other grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.

Along with his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by one son, Bing Gallion; one sister, Betty Lowery; and one grandson, Jason Billington.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where visitation will be Saturday, February 17, 2018, from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm, with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 pm at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Gary Collier officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jamie Perkins, Randy Hendrix, Paul Hendrix, Ricky Rasberry, Matt Goetz, and John Teague.  Honorary pallbearers will be Pistol Luke Perkins, Chris Hendrix, Mark McClure, and Shane Shannon.

Burial with follow in Memorial Cemetery in Paris, TN.
