Herbert S. "Herbie" Moon, Jr.

Herbert S. “Herbie” Moon, Jr., age 78 of Paris, TN, died Friday, January 19, 2018, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris, TN.
He retired as the owner and operator of Moon’s T.V. Service in Martin, TN. He also formerly worked at Hill’s Electric in Paris, TN. He enjoyed playing his guitar and watching westerns on T.V.
Herbie was born February 8, 1939, in Martin, TN to the late Herbert Stephen Moon, Sr., and the late Averia Elizabeth Copeland Rickman.
He was married for 59 years to Gertrude Kay “Trudie” Reynolds Moon, who survives, of Paris, TN. They married on August 29, 1958.
Along with his wife, he is also survived by two daughters, Tami Moore of Murfreesboro, TN, and Pam (Tony) Madding of LaVergne, TN; two sons, Bobby Moon of Christiana, TN, and Steve (GiGi) Moon of Lebanon, TN; one sister, Evelyn Lawnicki of Chicago, IL; five grandchildren, Jeremy Ellis, Kim Moon, Corey Linn, Jared Denton, and Brian Moon; and eight great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two sisters, Marie Sier and Louise Higgs.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where visitation will be Tuesday, January 23, 2018, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm, with the funeral service to begin at 1:00 pm at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home with Chad Kennedy officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be David Underwood, Brian Moon, Jeremy Ellis, Corey Linn, Dillan Pitts, and Frank Lawnicki.
Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Memory Garden in Paris, TN.
