Helen Watson Baines

Helen Watson Baines, age 78 of Paris, TN, died Friday, February 9, 2018, at her home.

She retired from Walmart after a 30-year career.  She enjoyed sewing, traveling and feeding her friends.  Helen attended the Lutheran Church.

Helen was born January 30, 1940, in Athens, TN, to the late Charlie Garrison and the late Susie Matlock Garrison.

She was married May 24, 1958, to Harry Watson, who preceded her in death on December 10, 2005.  She later married Tom Baines on March 20, 2009, and he preceded her in death on August 16, 2011.

She is survived by two children, Scott Watson(Tracie Hannagan) of Paris, TN, and Todd (Terri) Watson of Milan, TN; three stepchildren, Kim Mohundro of Athens, TN, Susan (Jim) Kovar of Oswego, IL, and Scott (Tabitha) Baines of Athens, TN; former daughter-in-law, Brenda (Danny) Robbins of Paris, TN; one brother, Ronnie (Carolyn) Garrison of Sweetwater, TN; two grandchildren, Lauren (Michael) Goff of Paris, TN, and Calli (Caleb) Johnson of Milan, TN; two great grandchildren, Sadie Goff and Kensington Johnson; and 5 step-grandchildren and 6 step great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, first husband and second husband, she was also preceded in death by one sister, Faye Lee.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where visitation will be Monday, February 12, 2018, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm CST.  A graveside service will be held Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 1:00 pm EST Cedar Grove Cemetery in Athens, TN, with Charlie Rinehart officiating.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Burial will follow the graveside service in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Athens, TN.
