Helen Tucker

Helen Ruth Williams Tucker, age 91 of Paris, passed away peacefully Saturday, February 4, 2023, surrounded by her family and friends at her residence.

Helen was known by most of her friends as Miss Helen. She formerly operated her own daycare for many years, where every child that entered received her love, care, and attention as if they were her own. She enjoyed cooking, receiving and growing flowers, and spending time with her family; but her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the love of her life. Helen was a member of Eastwood Church of Christ.

She married Vester Ray Tucker December 25, 1950, and he survives of Paris.

Born August 25, 1931, in Trenton, TN, Helen was the daughter of the late Gilbert B. Williams, and the late Edith H. Bradley Williams.

Besides her husband, survivors include her daughter, Barbara G. Rader and special friend, Rex Buford of Paris; two sons, Danny Tucker of Paris, and Jeff (Angie) Tucker of Buchanan; 9 grandchildren; and13 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Ellison; a grandson, Joey Tucker; and a brother, J.W. Williams.

Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St./ P.O. Box 788, Paris, TN, will be handling the arrangements. Visitation will be Monday, February 6, 2023, from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm.  The funeral service will be Monday, February 6, 2023, at 1:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Rex Buford officiating.

Pallbearers for the service will be Helen’s grandsons, grandsons in law, and lifelong family friend Ted Shekell. Her caregivers will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Burial will follow the service in Memorial Cemetery.
