Helen Gilbert

Helen Virginia Gilbert, age 81 of Paris, TN, died Saturday, January 18, 2020, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris, TN.

She retired from Dana Corporation after 30 plus years where she worked as a press operator. Helen was an avid antique collector, enjoyed working in her flower garden and going to yard sales. Helen’s favorite pastime was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Helen was born August 26, 1938, in Harlan, KY, to the late William Anderson Dotson and the late Rosalie King Dotson.

She is survived by her two daughters, Rosie (Chris) Pulley of Paris, TN, and Ginger (Larry) Mills of Paris, TN; two sons, Jim (Sylvia) Fields of Springville, TN, and Brian Fields of Springville, TN; two brothers, Harold Dotson of Springville, TN, and Larry (Carole) Dotson of Russellville, KY; 15 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Hays; one sister, Carol Dotson; two brothers, Ronnie Dotson and Billy Dotson; two granddaughters; and one great grandson.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St., Paris, TN, 38242. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 21, 2020, from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 pm at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home with Joe McClure officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ronnie Dotson, Billy Dotson, Bill Dotson, Tom Dotson, Zach Hinson, and Hunter Wade.

Burial will be in Crooked Creek Cemetery in Big Sandy, TN.
