Harry R. Brown

Harry R. Brown, age 80, of Paris, TN, passed away October 29, 2024, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon, TN. 

Harry loved his country and served in the United States Army before settling down to start a family. Harry was a member of Maplewood Baptist Church and loved the Lord. He will always be remembered as a faithful Christian, wonderful husband, father, and friend.

He was born on May 12, 1944, in Halls, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed, and Mickey Dunaway. 

Harry is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Patricia Brown; one son, Harry (Chastidy) Brown of Paris, TN; one daughter, Beth (Ken) Murphree of Marion, AR; two sisters, Ivie Dunaway of Trenton, TN, and Linda Dunaway of Memphis, TN; one brother, Bruce (Charlotte) Dunaway of Hernando, MS; four grandchildren, Zachary Jackson, Dakota Jackson, Matthew Murphree and Ella Murphree, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Casandra Robertson, and a brother, Paul Dunaway.

Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St./P.O. Box 788, Paris, TN 38242, will be handling the arrangements. Visitation will be held Saturday, November 2, 2024, from 11:00 am until the time of the service. His funeral service will be held Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Craig Peevyhouse officiating. 

Serving as pallbearers will be Don Steele, Harry Brown, Ken Murphree, Matthew Murphree, Dakota Jackson, and Zachary Jackson. Jimmy Barrett and Jerry Culpepper will be honorary pallbearers.

Burial will follow the service in Maplewood Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the entire staff at Huntingdon Health & Rehab for taking such good care of Harry for the last few years.
