Retired self-employed electrical engineer Harold Hudson Brown, 87, of Paris died Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at Paris Health Care Center.
A graveside service is planned at 11 a.m. Monday at Green Lawn Cemetery and Mausoleum in Roswell, Ga. No local service or visitation is scheduled. Ridgeway Funeral Home is in charge locally.
Born July 27, 1925, in Hendersonville, N.C., he was a son of the Eugene Brown and Hazie Maben
Brown Griffin. Brown was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and attended First Baptist Church in
Paris. He formerly lived in the Atlanta area for more than 50 years. He sang with a barbershop
quartet for 40 years. A U.S. Navy veteran, he was a member of the Veterans Alliance and American
Legion in Cumming, Ga.
Survivors are one son: Stephen (Carolyn) Brown of Charlottesville, Va.; one brother: Doyle (Fannie) Brown of Columbus, Miss.; three nieces: Andrea (Larry B.) Miller of Paris, Joni (Pat) Gorman of West Melbourne, Fla., and Robin (Ron) Betsch of Slidell, La.; seven great-nieces and great-nephews; and five
great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. He also was preceded in death by a nephew: Greg Brown.
