Dorvan Glenn Hall, age 93 of Puryear, TN, died Saturday, November 27, 2021, at The Farms in Puryear.
He retired after many years as a cross-country truck driver. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving from 1946-1949, and was a member of the VFW. Glenn enjoyed going to gun shows with his friend Dale Paschall. He loved sitting outside visiting with neighbors, telling stories of his truck driving years. He was known by many as “Uncle Glenn.”
Glenn was born November 3, 1928, in Wayne County, WV, to the late Samuel Hall and the late Sula Branham Hall.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sue Jackson Hall. He was later married on June 4, 1994, to Barbara Dyson Hall, who survives, of Puryear, TN.
Along with his wife, he is also survived by three children, Debbie Wray of Bloomington, IN, Barbie (John) Krizan of Portage, WI, and Ron (Toni) Scott of Cape Girardeau, MO; eight grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; seven nieces and nephews; and his Boston Terrier, Violet.
In addition to his parents and first wife, he was also preceded in death by one daughter, Teresa King; one son, Michael Scott; two sisters, Samolene Hall Johnson, and Ann Hall Clingerman; and one brother, Thomas Hall.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242. The body is to be cremated with no services scheduled.
