Glen William Nichols

Glen W. Nichols, age 88 of Paris, TN, died Tuesday, October 22, 2024, in Paris, TN.

 Glen retired after proudly serving more than 20 years in the United States Marine Corps. After retirement from the Marine Corps, he worked several years for Montgomery Ward in Ft Worth Texas, then he worked at Walmart in Paris in the paint department. He was a faithful member at Fairview Baptist Church. He enjoyed collecting old currency. Glen cared fervently for his wife Jeannie all the way up until her passing in 2021. 

 Born April 30, 1936, in Pharr, Texas, he was the son of the late Thomas Edward Nichols, and the late Juanita Oleta Jones Nichols. Glen married Faye Jean Savary Nichols on May 25, 1985, and she preceded him in death on November 7, 2021.

 Along with his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Jim Lee Nichols and Charles Nichols.

 He is survived by five children, Kristy (Phillip) Waltz of Velva, ND, Karalyn (Jason) Jacobs of Brownsburg, IN, Beverly (Ken) Wells of Paris, TN, Barry Nichols of Memphis, TN, and Alein (Anna) Nichols of Alvarado, TX; a brother, Johnny Midgette; 13 grandchildren, Nicholas Waltz, Joseph Walz, Caitlyn Waltz, Kevin Elliott, Melissa Elliott, Cashea Nichols, Kaylen Nichols, Glen Leon Nichols, Donald Nichols, Kevin Nichols, Madelynne Brazile, Abigail Hastings, and Samuel Wells; five great-grandchildren; and special lifelong friends, Dennis and Barbara Griffin.

 Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St./P.O. Box 788, Paris, TN 38242, will be handling the arrangements. The body is to be cremated. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, November 22, 2024, at 1:30 pm at The Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery at Parkers Crossroads, 693 Wildersville Rd, Wildersville, TN 38388. Ken Wells will officiate.
