Glen Morris Crorey, age 73 of Cottage Grove, TN, died Saturday, April 20, 2024, at his residence.
He retired after 40 years as the owner & operator of a fire hydrant repair business, where he was the inventor of a tool that works on fire hydrants under pressure. Glen was also a fireman for 15 years in Nederland, TX, and served as a member of the Texas National Guard. He loved to build things, work, and talk. Glen was very creative and an inventor, always coming up with new ways to do things. He attended the Bridge of Hope Church in Paris, TN.
Glen was born November 29, 1950, in Orange, TX, to the late William Morris “Bill” Crorey and the late Vivian Hoffpauir Crorey.
He was married May 31, 2003, to Elizabeth Ann Frnka Crorey, who survives, of Cottage Grove, TN.
Along with his wife, he is also survived by his three children, Katherine (Clark) Dean of Spring, TX, Billy Crorey of Orange, TX, and Mark (Jesica) Crorey of Marion, TX; five stepchildren, Jenny (Shannon) Fontenot of Baton Rouge, LA, Jeremy White, Joshua White, Jason White, and Jonathan White all of Louisville, KY; one sister, Karen (Lonnie) Bowman of Warren, MI; one brother, Norman Crorey of Hemphill, TX; and six grandchildren, Luke Crorey, Jobe Crorey, Ashlynn Crorey, Bailey Crorey, Dakota Crorey, and Miles Dean.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one son, Bobby Crorey.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242. He is to be cremated with a memorial service to be held Saturday, June 1, 2024, at 11:00 am at Bridge of Hope Church, 1575 Hwy 641 S, Paris, TN 38242.
