Gerald Beecham, age 71, of Paris, TN, died Friday, April 28, 2017, at McKenzie Health & Rehabilitation in McKenzie, TN.

Gerald retired as a press operator from C.S.I. in McKenzie, TN after 19 ½ years.  He enjoyed gold panning and metal detecting, and was an avid home vegetable gardener.  He loved his family, grandchildren, great grandchildren very much, and enjoyed taking his grandsons, Elick and Peanut fishing.

He was born November 13, 1945, in Henderson, TN to the late Elick W. Beecham and the late Ollie M. McCormick Beecham.

Gerald was married July 7, 1967, to Joyce Ann Wade Beecham, who survives, of Paris, TN.  Along with his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Hallie Ann Christian of Paris, TN, and Betty Delores (Larry) Wallace of Paducah, KY; one son, Robert Gerald Beecham of Paris, TN; two sisters, Dorothy Herrin of Camden, TN, and Linda Greer of New Johnsonville, TN; three brothers, Albert Beecham of Mansfield, TN, Frankie Beecham of Mansfield, TN, and Jerry Beecham of Henry, TN; eight grandchildren, Gwin (Paige) Christian, Nathaniel (Adell) Christian, Rebecca Triplett, Charlene (Justin) Barnes, Robert Triplett, George Childress, Charles “Peanut” Beecham, and Elick Beecham; and nine great grandchildren.

Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Inether Lyles; one brother Robert L. Beecham; and one granddaughter, Janie D. Triplett.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where visitation will be Saturday, April 29, 2017, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm, and continue Sunday April 30, 2017, from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm.  The funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Sunday, April 30, 2017 at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home with Tommy Willis officiating.

Pallbearers will be Gwin Christian, Justin Barnes, Robert Triplett, David Wade, Billy Gaskins, Travis Beecham, and Daren Gaskins.   Elick Beecham and Charles “Peanut” Beecham are named as Honorary Pallbearers.

Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Big Sandy, TN.
