George Kelly Freeman, age 59 of Paris, TN, died Wednesday, September 18, 2019, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN.
He was a graduate of Henry County High School and a lifelong resident of Paris. He attended Murray State University. He formerly worked in his family business, Humphreys Lumber Yard and also for the Myers, who were long-time family friends, at Universal Coatings in Henry.
Kelly was born May 10, 1960, to the late George E. Freeman, Jr., and Janet Key Humphreys, who survives, of Paris, TN.
Along with his mother, he is also survived by four sisters, Vita (Tim) Swindell of Memphis, TN, Lisa (John) Lewis of Georgetown, TX, Karen (Keith) Davis of Big Sandy, TN, and Jan (Chuck) Latimer of McKenzie, TN; special friend, Libby Ford of Paris, TN; nieces and nephews, Katie Lewis of Austin, TX, Peyton (Caylee) Lewis of Georgetown, TX, Aynne (Wayne) Worthington of Dallas, TX, Ben (Erica) Paschall of Paris, TN, and Maggie, Will and Daniel Latimer of McKenzie, TN; and two great nieces.
In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his stepfather, D.O. "Bud" Humphreys, Jr.; his maternal grandparents, Clifton and Lottie Key; and his paternal grandparents, George E. Sr. and Olga Freeman.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN. Visitation will be Saturday, September 21, 2019, from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 3:00 pm at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home.
Burial will be Maplewood Cemetery in Paris, TN.
