Former Paris pharmacy owner and operator George F. Moore, 78, of McKenzie died Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, at his residence.
His body was cremated.
Visitation will be Tuesday October 15, 2013 from 5 - 8 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home.
Born May 24, 1935, in Murfreesboro, he was a son of the late Eugene R. Moore Sr. and the late Martha Louise Goosmann Moore.
Moore was a member of First Baptist Church in Paris. He owned and operated Moore Pharmacy from 1964-1980. He retired from Henry County Medical Center.
He was a member of Kappa Psi Ro Ki, a pharmacy fraternity. He did his undergraduate work at the University of Tennessee at Martin and earned his pharmacy degree at the University of Tennessee in Memphis.
He leaves three daughters: Michelle (David) Guy of Nashville, Minette (Danny) Veazey of Paris and Miranda (Mark) Jones of Huntingdon; eight grandchildren: Sarah and Shannon Guy, Arianna (Jimmy) Green and Rachel, Nicholas, Lydia, Matthew and Claire Jones; and a special friend: Janice Smith of McKenzie.
He also was preceded in death by two brothers: Eugene R. Moore Jr., and Jere Vann Moore.
