George O. Gierhart, age 76, of Paris, TN, died Friday, November 29, 2013, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris, TN.
George was a member of Central Point Baptist Church. He retired from Dana Companies in Paris as an over-the-road truck driver and was a former dairy farmer. He was an avid fisherman and wood crafter and an avid collector of knives and guns.
George was the son of the late Albert Coffman and the late Dorothy Baughman McConnell.
He is survived by his two daughters, Kelly (Michael) Throgmorton of Big Sandy, TN, Richar (Ray) Summers of Paris, TN; two sons, Greg (Lillian) Gierhart of Murray, KY, Scott (Gina) Gierhart of McKenzie, TN, two brothers, Bruce (Dawn) Gierhart of Ashland, OH, Steve (Ruth) Coffman of Kent, OH; Ten grandchildren and One great-grandchild and a special friend, Patricia Johnson.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where visitation will be from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM Sunday, December 1, 2013 and from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM Monday, December 2, 2013. The funeral service will be at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Monday, December 2, 2013.
Rev. Jenna Goggins & Roy Lewis will officiate.
Cremation will follow the service.
