Geneva Lambert "Bebe" Whitney

Geneva Lambert “Bebe” Whitney, age 82 of Mansfield, TN, died Saturday, September 11, 2021, at her residence.

She was a seamstress for Cathy Herrin making draperies.  She was also a homemaker who loved her kids and enjoyed visiting with family and friends.  She was a member of Christ Gospel Church in Camden, TN.

Geneva was born May 7, 1939, in Sikeston, MO, to the late Leslie Lambert and the late Sibble Hampton Lambert.

She was married April 11, 1975, to Michael B. “Big Mike” Whitney, who preceded her in death on July 31, 2016.

She is survived by one daughter, Janet (Ricky) French of Springville, TN; two sons, Ronald (Brooke) Sanders of Mansfield, TN, and Donald (Rachel) Sanders of Mansfield, TN; two stepsons, Michael Whitney of Mississippi, and William “Billy” Whitney of Mississippi; one brother, Tommy (Judy) Lambert of Jeffersonville, IN; three sisters-in-law, Lottie Sue Lambert of Mansfield, TN, Merletta Barger of Nashville, TN, and Betty Lambert of Mansfield, TN; and 23 grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Along with her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one daughter, Rebecca “Becky” McClain; one son-in-law, Gary McClain; one daughter-in-law, Sandy Whitney; one sister, Ann Sue Mead; three brothers, Carl Lambert, Randall Lambert, and Gene Lambert; and one great grandson.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN, 38242.  Visitation will be Wednesday, September 15, 2021, from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with David Gleason officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Cody McClain, Randy McClain, Dale McClain, Michael McClain, Tony Stepp, and David Stepp.

Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery in Hollow Rock, TN.
