Gary Lee Freyburger, age 70 of Paris, TN, died Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris.

He retired after several years as a truck driver for B & D Trucking in Paris.  Gary was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of Maplewood Baptist Church.  He loved hunting and anything to do with the outdoors.  He enjoyed hiking, feeding the birds, and observing nature.

Gary was born May 15, 1951, in Staten Island, NY, to the Harris Donald Freyburger, who survives, of Holland, NY, and the late Hazel Ernestine Blakley Freyburger.

He was married November 27, 1971, to Lydia Bell Long Freyburger, who survives, of Paris.

Along with his wife and father, he is also survived by two sons, Jason (Renee) Freyburger of WI, and Joseph (Julie) Freyburger of Murray, KY; five grandchildren, Sameul Freyburger, Olivia Freyburger, Luke Freyburger, Jaxson Freyburger, and Easton Freyburger; one niece, Lauren Freyburger (Chris) Welsh of Hamburg, NY; and a friend who was like a son, Shawn (Marcella) Doman of Holland, NY.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Andrew Freyburger.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN 38242.  The body is to be cremated.  A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, February 4, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Maplewood Baptist Church, 8700 Highway 218 Bypass, Paris, TN 38242, with Ben Whitmire officiating.
