Gary Pinson

Gary Pinson, age 64 of Paris, TN, died Tuesday, January 26, 2021, in Paducah, KY.

He was the longtime co-owner & operator of Gary’s Wholesale with his wife and daughter.  He was a Christian who loved spending time with his grandchildren.  Gary enjoyed listening to auctions and “wheeling and dealing.”  He was a fan of NASCAR and Tennessee Titans football.

Gary was born December 5, 1956, in Paris, TN, to the late Joe Pinson and the late Reba White Pinson.

He was married in April 1984 to Brenda Glisson Pinson, who survives, of Paris.

Along with his wife, he is also survived by his stepmother, Nelda Pinson of Paris; his daughter, Tiffany (Jeremy) Douglass of Paris; six sisters, Cynthia (Gary) Clark of Mansfield, TN, Lisa (Chris) Isbell of Jackson, TN, Cheryl (Dusty) Stout of Paris, Lisa (Tim) Kist of Springville, TN, Lori Flynn of McKenzie, and Rhonda (Roger) Burgess of Springville, TN; one brother, Anthony (Barbara) Sanders of Paris; two grandchildren, Joe Douglass and Garrison Douglass; two sisters-in-law, Shelia Glisson of Paris, and Linda (Larry) Lantz of Milan, TN; one brother-in-law, Frank (Paula) Glisson of Mayfield, KY; two aunts, Lou (James) Hixson of Bath, MI, and Ruthie Parker of Paris; one uncle, James (Cynthia) Pinson of Seabrook, TX; several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242.  Visitation will be Friday, January 29, 2021, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home.  Visitation will continue Saturday, January 30, 2021, from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at New Harmony Baptist Church, 7050 Hwy 69 S, Paris, TN 38242.  The funeral service will be Saturday, January 30, 2021, at 11:00 am at New Harmony Baptist Church, with Jim Powell and Wilbur Farmer officiating.

At the family’s request masks must be worn and all social distancing guidelines must be observed during both visitation and the service.

Serving as pallbearers will be Chad Thompson, Neil Thompson, Barry Farmer, Alan Brasher, Heath Lovelace, Mark Copeland, Mike Wilson, and Ross Wimberley.

Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Paris.
